Hello!
I am KENTA, a Japanese who loves One Piece!
I have recently become interested in Nico Robin, also known as the Devil’s Child.
Until now, I thought that he would be active using his ability to decipher Poneglyph, but recently he has started to stand out in combat, helping Sanji, demonizing him, and so on.
Seeing Nico Robin like that made me wonder if Nico Robin’s Hana Hana no Mi is actually a fruit with another name.
What is Hana Hana no Mi?
It is one of the Paramecia Devil Fruits, and its ability is to instantly create copies of body tissues and grow them like flowers from a distance.
Limbs, sensory organs, etc. can instantly appear from a distance.
Hana Hana no Mi means “flower” in Japanese.
I believe it was named Hana Hana no Mi because it can freely make parts of its body bloom like flowers.
Rationale for not being Hana Hana no Mi.
Paramecia type.
Nico Robin can make any body part bloom anywhere is Hana Hana no Mi.
It is explained in the work that the name Hana Hana no Mi is given because each part can bloom like a flower.
However, flowers are essentially plants, and plants are associated with nature.
Therefore, the ability to flower should originally be given that name to fruits that are classified as logia-type.
There must be some reason for this discrepancy.
Demonio Fleur’s appearance
This is the scene in Episode 1021 Demonio Fleur, a technique in which Nico Robin himself is demonized.
Its body is completely black and it has horns, fangs, and wings.
It looked nothing like the actual Nico Robin.
- Reddish-black skin
When I saw this reddish-black skin, I thought that maybe he was clad in armament color.
However, I know that Nico Robin did not acquire the color of armament during his 2-year training period, because Luffy and Law are talking in the Punk Hazard Arc, and he says that he, Zoro, and Sanji are the only ones who can use his high ki over here.
In addition, while the common color of the armed color is glossy, Nico Robin’s figure does not have any gloss.
This means that it is not an armed-colored haikyo.
- Different feathers on the left and right sides
Also, there are pitch-black feathers on the back.
Please see here.
If you look closely, the shape of the wings is slightly different on each side.
The thing about this place is that it may well be depicted in One Piece in the future.
Besides new techniques like this one, there are still many mysteries about Nico Nico Robin, which will definitely become more important in the future, including the fact that the spotlight is starting to shine on OHARA.
The Person Who Must Not Be Killed
One of the things that is strange about Nico Robin is that the world government has ordered him to be captured alive, not killed.
Even in Wanokuni, they go out of their way to order them to be taken alive.
The straightforward reason for the need to keep Nico Robin alive instead of killing him is that it allows us to decipher Poneglyph.
Nico Robin is recognized by the world government as the only person in the world who can decipher Poneglyph.
However, it is also unnatural to insist on capturing them alive by nature.
For the world government, it should be faster to kill them.
There must be some important reason here other than being able to decipher Poneglyph.
If a person with Devil Fruit ability dies, the same Devil Fruit will be born somewhere in the world, so if Nico Robin is killed, Hana Hana no Mi will disappear.
This may indicate the need to catch them alive.
The Appearance of Aramaki
In Episode 1053, Navy General Aramaki finally made his appearance.
It appears to be absorbing water or some kind of nutrients from the bodies of the remnants of the Hundred Beast Pirates, including the King and Queen.
The fact that he was able to easily disable an executive-level figure in combat shows the high level of his ability to Aramaki.
It appears that the nutrients that Aramaki’s ability to take away from its opponent has a taste, and it appears that this nutrients taken away from its opponent allows Aramaki to eat nothing for three years.
Furthermore, while on its way to Wanokuni, it was flying overhead with a large flower-like plant attached to its back and propeller badly.
These features suggest that Aramaki’s ability is Devil Fruit related to flowers.
However, this leaves a contradiction.
This is because there is already a Devil Fruit called Hana Hana no Mi in the One Piece world.
This is speculation, but I suspect that Aramaki’s ability is the real Hana Hana no Mi and that the Hana Hana no Mi that Nico Robin ate actually has an alias.
Consider the Devil Fruit that Nico Robin ate
So what is the real name of the Devil Fruit that Nico Robin ate?
In conclusion, I think it is Hito Hito no Mi, Model:Asura.
Let’s take a closer look.
What is Asura?
Ashura is a demon god in Indian mythology who likes to fight.
It is believed to be a Buddhist guardian deity with several arms and a demon who presides over battles.
When Robbie became a giant demon, his technique was named Demonio Fleur.
Demonio means devil in Italian and Spanish, but it also refers to a demon at the same time.
Similarities between Asura and Robin
More interestingly, the origins of Ashura are similar to those of Nico Robin.
It is said that Ashura used to live in the heavenly realm, but his home was taken from him by force and he was forced to leave the heavenly realm and became an evil demon.
This overlaps with Nico Robin, who was called the Son of the Devil after his hometown of O’Hara was destroyed and he was forced to leave his homeland.
Nico Robin, known to the world as the devil’s son, is not actually a demonic thug, but a woman with the strength to assume the horrifying form of a demon in order to protect her friends.
Hito Hito no Mi, Model:Asura, is considered to be the perfect Devil Fruit for Nico Robin.
That’s all for this issue.
As we head into the final chapter, Robin will no doubt be greatly enhanced as well.
I look forward to seeing more of Robin in the future!
