Hello! I am KENTA, a Japanese who loves One Piece.
As I have written in the past in “KENTA’s Attraction of One Piece”, the characters and stories in One Piece are based on various sources and motifs from a wide range of genres and cultures around the world.

Introducing the appeal of One Piece, a popular Japanese manga that has been around for over 20 years.
Currently, One Piece is on a quest to the future island of “Egghead” as it heads towards the final chapter of the series.
I noticed that the “Egghead” is a tribute to “an area of Tokyo Disneyland”.
Let us explain in detail.
One Piece and Tokyo Disneyland
In Mr. Oda’s studio, there is a poster of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” a Tokyo Disneyland attraction, and there are many similarities between Pirates of the Caribbean and One Piece.
Other “It’s a Small World” is a small world where species from all over the world come together.
It was like Big Mam’s dream.
There are more, including Thriller Bark and the Horned Mansion.
The Disneyland is so much in the works that it is hard to believe that it is a coincidence.
I believe that various attractions at Disneyland have been homaged in One Piece, but there was one very popular area at Tokyo Disneyland that has not appeared in the film until now.
It is one of the three major attractions at Tokyo Disneyland.
Space Mountain.
In fact, this “Space Mountain” was the model for the “Egghead of the Future Island.
What is Tomorrowland?
Tomorrowland is the area in Tokyo Disneyland where Space Mountain is located.
Tomorrow” in Tomorrowland translates to “tomorrow,” but it does not mean “tomorrow’s land.
The museum is a place where visitors can feel close to the “future” by experiencing the latest technology, simulating space flight that cannot be experienced normally, and introducing high-tech automobiles.
TOMORROWLAND” in Disneyland is an area themed on the passage of future time, and is entirely powered by robots.
Space Mountain in Tomorrowland is a roller coaster ride on a small rocket.
Even the eggheads in One Piece rode on small rockets.
Tomorrowland and Bonnie
I think the character Bonnie, who appears in Future Island, is also influenced by Tomorrowland.
The theme is the passage of time
The theme of Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland is “passage of time.
And Bonnie is a “Toshi Toshi no Nami” who can change the age of herself and others at will, and can change the passage of time of an object at will.
Perhaps that is why the author, Oda-sensei, made Bonnie, who appears on the future island, a time-lapse ability.
Bonnie’s favorite food is pizza.
Bonnie’s favorite food is pizza.
If you have ever been to Tokyo Disneyland, a famous restaurant in Tomorrowland that may have popped into your head is Pan Galactic Pizza Port.
Pan Galactic Pizza Port is set up as the first pizza restaurant in the solar system.
Inside the restaurant, manager Tony Solaloni takes many orders while operating the PZ-5000, a fully automatic pizza-making machine.
The concept of this pan-galactic pizza port is a restaurant of the future that makes pizzas fully automatically.
When Luffy and his friends first landed at Egghead, the food was fully automatic.
This may be a reference to the Pan Galactic Pizza Port.
Also, the name of this automatic pizza-making machine is PZ-5000.
The Pacifica that Vegapunk built is the PX-0 or PX-5.
This alphabet and number combination may also be a reference.
This is all for this issue.
In addition to Disneyland, the characters and stories in One Piece by Oda Sensei pay homage to countless other world cultures, including Jiburi Anime, Dragon Ball and other boys’ manga, occultism, conspiracy theories, and quotes from world history.
Looking at manga from this perspective will give you a different kind of enjoyment.
